The 12th SCBA International Symposium was successfully held at the Academia Sinica, Taipei, from June 14 to 18, 2009. The 5-day meeting was a great success, due to participation of many SCBA members and invited guests/speakers, and the great efforts of the local organizing host. Special thanks are due to Drs. Ming-Tao Tsai and Andrew Wang and their capable and competent staffs, who made this conference running smoothly. We are also grateful for the generous supports of the Academia Sinica, the National Health Research Institutes, and the National Science Council, and many other individuals and sponsors.<br /><br />I hope other participants can provide additional comments and inputs, so that the next SCBA International Symposium could be better and well attended in the future. <br /><br />Chris Lau
